In 1972, we began  construction of the original tortilla plant and began to market, for  the first time in Costa Rica,  tortillas packed under the TortiRicas brand, thus developing a a preference for corn tortillas and becominga tradition for all Costa Ricans.

In 2000, we subsequently began  production and marketing of TortiRicas in Nicaragua.

TortiRicas is the brand with the longest history and is the one most preferred by Costa Ricans, ideal as an accompaniment eating  to meals and used in the preparation of easy and practical dishes. It has different presentations: regular and thick TortiRicas, in different sizes.
